Dana Barnes’ sculpted wool mass melds raw fibres using techniques of hand-knotting and meticulous shearing to create a wet-bonded amorphous structure. Referencing the distortions of knurled protuberances found in wooden terra frma, the result is an abstract articulation that celebrates the organic qualities of the textural form.
