Maya, Zeina, Racha and Yara by Carlo Massoud

Massoud revisits the traditional Middle Eastern feminine garments adapting the concept to a new function, material and scale. Each of the four dolls are empty from the inside allowing one to hide some treasured or precious items. The designer makes a statement about the function of objects in the Middle East, their role to bring a reflection and a debate, paying tribute to the hidden beauty and inner world of the women in the region.
