Agglomerati focuses on harnessing the timeless quality of marble by adopting an integrity first approach with each design. The collections are characterised by geometric silhouettes and well-proportioned plains which lend themselves to the rich, lustrous surface of the stone. The collections are at their heart functional pieces that champion materiality without needless adornments. Since form follows function, each piece is simplified, and inherently necessity driven. Each piece is made to order in Carrara, Italy, from your choice of curated stone and finished with care. We imagine you will ease the piece into place, and not feel the need to replace it, maybe ever again.

Agglomerati is a London-based studio creating distinctive stone furniture. Established in 2019 by Australian designer Sam Henley, the studio aspires to create objects of permanence. Agglomerati adopts a ‘less is more' approach in respect to the timeless qualities of the material. Henley sources inspiration from masters like Mario Bellini and Angelo Mangiarotti whose minimalist creations in marble from the 70s remain relevant today. The collections are characterised by geometric silhouettes and well-proportions plains, which lend themselves to the rich, lustrous surface of the stone. Each piece is made bespoke from an array of classic stone varieties and finished to the highest standard, using methods and materials that will last a century or longer. Alongside the collections, Agglomerati collaborates with multidisciplinary designers to create functional art-objects in stone. By connecting a diverse network of creatives with northern Italy’s foremost craftspeople, it brings fresh new perspectives to a time-honoured material to produce original, avant-garde collections. The resulting bespoke objects are produced in collectable editions, adding a new material dimension to the collaborating artist’s existing body of work.
